Why we Started Pauli
When we created Pauli & Sisters, we wanted to provide the world with a product formulated with natural oils, that’s it. We know and we’ve seen the power of botanicals, and how- with consistency & love- it has the power to heal your skin. This journey didn’t just come out of nowhere. In fact, this new formula stems from a very old kind of product. Stemming from a person that literally started… us. Danielle, Paul, and Megan.
Our grandfather, Paul Symes (the original Pauli) was a cosmetic chemist in South Africa who created the formula behind what is now known as Bio Oil. Then, it was a product called Justine Tissue Oil, a nutrient rich oil for your body and a staple in many South African homes. Shortly after the birth of Justine Tissue Oil and Justine Cosmetics itself, our grandfather passed away at the age of 54 from a sudden heart attack.
So, we set out to re-engineer our grandfather's product to be used on your body AND face.
However, when we started this journey, we noticed there is a community of people that aren’t being noticed. The fragrance free, irritant prone, sensitive skin consumers, that need a formula for this purpose, but the ingredients are too harmful. If you have acne prone, sensitive skin, eczema, dermatitis etc. (you name it, we’ve been there) looking to reduce scars, stretch marks & uneven skin tone- there isn’t anything out there on the market for you.
Our lightweight, fragrance free holistic oil is made up of 11 hero nutrient rich botanicals. Each hero ingredient has been added to our bottle, serving its own purpose. Looking to reduce redness? As skincare enthusiasts and by enthusiasts we mean, as folks that have endured skin related problems all of our lives, what we use on our skin matters. Many of us are skincare enthusiasts for the love of beautiful products and moments of self care. We see ourselves as skincare enthusiasts, finding solutions to our most common problems. One of them being… scars. Why don’t we talk about scars when most of us have them? As beautiful as they are, depending on its location, we wanted to provide a helping hand in the healing process.

How to Apply Repair Serum to your Face & Body
If you plan on adding this hydrating balancing oil to your face, we would suggest applying twice a day to clean skin. As far as amount goes, we always say a little goes a long way. Apply a few drops to your fingertips, and gently apply by patting to your face for maximum absorption. You can also use the Repair Serum in the evenings after your moisturizer.
A similar method goes for your body. Apply to targeted areas of the body where extra hydration is needed. If you’re dealing with post surgery scars, newer stretch marks (with a red tone), or eczema related patches, apply the oil a few times a day. Don’t forget to massage your skin for 30 seconds.
